Sea Lion – aka Linn Osterberg – has announced details of her debut album, due out on Turnstile on August 28th. Pre-order HERE.
The full length ‘Desolate Stars’ sees Linn explore what it is to be an uncertain in an age of cultivated personae under cover of slow darkness: her distorted electric guitar melts into a watercolour wash, a piano plays like the ghost of a Leonard Cohen ballad, while the close-mic’d intimacy is as intimidating as Cat Power’s earliest records.
2. He Wears A Smile
3. If My Baby
6. Baby’s Town
8. Desolate Star
Sea Lion has also given another sneak-peek into the album, premiering the track ‘Ghostlands’ over at Stereogum.
Alongside all this, Linn has announced her debut headline London show. She’ll be debuting new songs at the Islington, on June 22nd. Tickets available HERE.
Chris also starts a tour of the United States and Canada, this week, so make sure to check if he’s headed near you!
